We publish these notes to provide information on the features and improvements in each new release. This page includes release notes for platform releases, feature releases and bug fix releases.

2025-03-12 | Product updates

• Workspaces now have the Add Data and Show Analytics options.
  • Add Data allows your users to add new data points in their workspaces. When this is disabled, your users can not add new data points
  • Show Analytics allows your users to view Indicators and charts in their Workspace

2025-03-09 | Product updates

• We released some minor 'quality of life' improvements in this release
  • Bulk Edit Dates: You can now change the Start and End Date of multiple Data Points at once from the Bulk Edit screen
  • Excel version of the Audit Report: Especially useful to multi-lingual users, this feature allows users to export the Audit Report from Map>Exports as an XSLX as well as a CSV.

2025-02-09 | Product updates

• AI Answers in our New Helpdesk! We have updated our helpdesk and support software to support our growing volume of requests and to put more useful self-help tools in your hands. From anywhere in Breeze you can now use AI Answers to get information on how to use Breeze and get the most out of your account!

• Climate Factor Search has been updated to make it easier to find factors using keyword search. It’s now faster and more effective than ever to use text to search the climate factor database

    Mappings are now available on the Map page for management of your Data Governance plan and use in data collection. Click here to learn more about the Map.

    Data Import has been upgraded and is even more powerful now. Map, view, and confirm your Source and Place names, confirm your Usage Unit Selections, and ensure all dates and values are valid before importing. Plus, you can now import Tags, Reporting Years, Data Type, Emissions Scope, and Emissions values directly!

    Import Places, Sources, and Mappings are all now available!

  • This makes onboarding faster both for our users and for our network of Partners who are supporting the onboarding process for our clients!
• Misc bug fixes and performance improvements

2024-12-21 | Product updates

• You can now Filter the list of data points shown on the Bulk Edit page by Source, Place, Tag, Data Type, and Reporting Year! This will make it significantly easier to quickly make changes to your dataset using the Bulk Edit functionality.
• Essentials users can now import Places directly using our spreadsheet importer.

2024-12-11 | Product updates

• Business Plus users now have access to Workspaces!
  • Assign team members as Workspace Users and give them access to a restricted set of Sources and Places for data entry, edit, and export.

2024-12-08 | Product updates

• We’re excited to announce our newest addition to the Data Quality Center, Data Quality Flags!
  • As data is imported, it will be checked for validity, calculation errors, and duplicates.
  • You can manually add a Flag from the edit data screen if you want to come back to a certain data point later on
  • Coming in early 2025, you will be able to run a quality check on your data at the end of the Reporting Year to ensure you have covered all dates, Mappings, review for variances, and more!

2024-11-23 | Product updates

• The Breeze app has moved https://mybreeze.app to allow us to enhance performance and development capabilities. https://mybreeze.io remains active as our homepage and has been refreshed to better reflect our evolving platform, guidance and direction!

  We have launched Project Comparisons in Beta! Comparisons allow you to develop Scenarios to compare them against one another, highlighting differences emissions impacts.

  • Navigate to the Projects module to use Comparisons! (You must first enable Beta access)

• We are thrilled to announce the Beta launch of the Ask Breeze Sustainability AI Copilot!
  • Enable Beta Access to use the Copilot
  • Navigate to Home>Ask Breeze to start using our newest AI feature!

2024-11-11 | Product updates

• The Source list is now organized by Scope. You can view all Source Groups, even those with no Sources. At the bottom of the list you can see the Ungrouped and Inactive Sources.

  We’re beginning to roll out an initial version of our Projects module!

  • Enable Beta Access to view the Projects Tab
  • Set up your variables, create your project, and begin using these features
  • More capabilities to be launched shortly

2024-11-07 | Product updates

• In the Mappings report you can now click the ‘DATA’ button to view all data points in the Mapping (based on the current filters). You can then jump to edit any of these data points directly.

  We have added a new User Role called the ‘Observer’ for members of your network who may need view-only access. This may include Auditors, Executives, or other key stakeholders.

  • We have also revamped the user invitation and management workflows!

    To help users see the status of their usage, we updated the Home Dashboard to show the Data Point limit of their current Organization’s Plan

    We want to give you access to the newest features, even before we release them to all users. If you want to access Beta features, simply navigate to Settings>Beta Access

  • This is User and Organization specific. You can enable and disable this feature for your accounts in each of your Organizations individually.
  • This is available to users on all paid plans.

2024-10-13 | Product updates

• Announcing the File Library! Add and access key team files with ease thanks to this central repository of critical sustainability files. This can be used for inventory management plans, sustainability reports, estimation calculations, and much more!

• We have resolved a bug with our data import process which prevented users from completing the onboarding process. This was related to a third party application we leverage. This should be completely resolved.

• Routine updates to our payments infrastructure to be more robust and in line with security best practices.

• You can now send Climate Factors to other Organizations for use in their inventory! This can be useful if you are creating a new Organization and want to reuse some of the Organization-Specific Climate Factors you have developed. Find out how this works here.

2023-07-27 | Product Updates

• MTCO2e unit type and unit added. You can now upload emissions calculated off-platform directly into Breeze. Plus, we added source templates for scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
• Data point limits changed to 20 data points on the free plan and 250 on the Pro plan. The Business plan is still unlimited data points

2023-06-29 | Product Updates

Minor additional updates

• For Pro and Business users, you can now download a data import template from the Data page containing all active Sources. This will make data imports for full datasets much easier, as you can simply make changes to the template then reupload
• Jump To - this menu section was added to the Home page to make it easy to quickly navigate to key features of Breeze
• Renamed the “Capture” Emissions Scope to “Offset/Capture” to better reflect its role in Breeze

2023-06-26 | Product Updates

We are continuing to work on improving the quality of content, user experience, and functionality of the Breeze platform. This update includes the following:

• Improvements to the Footprint Dashboard
  • Assess and improve your data quality with a chart broken down by Data Type
  • View your emissions over time
  • See your most significant emissions sources with the Materiality chart
• Reset Data Point function: Reset any data point to the original values as if you had just created it, allowing Breeze to reassign Scopes, Standard Unit conversions, Climate Factors based on the Source, etc.
• Addition of a new report, “Your Climate Factors”, which allows you to export all of your organization-specific emission factors, demonstrating the unit conversions performed and other relevant values
• Improvements to the communication of key product benefits
• More confetti in onboarding!

2023-06-08 | Product Updates

Some major updates to onboarding & configuration were released in this version!

• Onboarding is now split into two paths: Newcomers and Power Users
  • Newcomers allows you to start from a set of commonly used emissions sources for your inventory
  • Power users is the path you are familiar with, allowing you to upload activity data and configure your emissions Sources and Places based on the data to immediately calculate your footprint.
• You can now create a source from a template on the Map page
• Other minor updates and bug fixes

2023-01-02 | Breeze v2 Launch

We have officially launched v2 of the Breeze platform! 

There are a number of important updates in this version, including:

• A completely refreshed UI/UX
• A streamlined, simplified onboarding process based on existing activity data spreadsheets
• Freemium - anyone can now use Breeze for free!

2022-09-20 | Product Updates

It is a great week for Breeze! We made a lot of great changes to bring you more speed and a simpler UX. 

Here is a list of the changes you'll see in Breeze:

• Much faster processing of uploaded data
• Fewer, simpler menu options
• Universal standard units for each unit type (for example, all volume data will be normalized to L) simplifying source setup, conversion factors, and more
• Standard units on all Climate Factors. When you create a climate factor, the CO2, CH4, and N2O per standard unit will be calculated for you and applied to all records. We have also included a CO2e intensity per standard unit for all Climate Factors so you can easily compare across time and sources!
