Active vs Market Emissions

What are Active emissions?

Active is the default emissions calculation method applied in Breeze. It is the same as the Location-based method as defined by the GHG Protocol Scope 2 Standard.

What are Market emissions?

For scope 1 and 3, there is no difference between Active and Market emissions methods. Scope 1 and 3 Sources should have Market emissions disabled.

Scope 2, or purchased energy, sources can use the Market-based emissions calculation approach when market-based emissions, as defined by the GHG Protocol Scope 2 Standard, are being calculated and/or reported by your organization.
