Team Members & User Roles

In Breeze, every account can invite unlimited users, regardless of the selected plan. Users can join by either an emailed invitation or a shared link. Breeze allows team members to be associated with multiple organizations, each with its own user role settings, providing flexible access across teams.

User Roles Overview

Breeze has three primary user roles, with a unique variation for account owners. Each role defines specific access and permissions within the platform:

  • Administrator (+ Account Owner)
  • Observer
  • Service Provider

Administrator

Administrators have the highest level of access within Breeze, with permissions to create, edit, and delete most content across the platform. They play a key role in managing data and overseeing system functions. However, they cannot deactivate the account itself.

Account Owner

The Account Owner is a specialized Administrator role, typically held by the person who created the Breeze account. This role has all the Administrator permissions but adds critical administrative functions, such as managing billing and deactivating or reactivating users. Only one user can hold the Account Owner role per organization.

Observer

Observers have a limited, view-only role in Breeze, ideal for executives, auditors, or any team member who only needs access to review data. Observers can navigate the Home and Map pages, where they can view exports and mappings. However, they cannot create, update, or delete any content within the platform.

Service Provider

The Service Provider role is designed for external users, such as consultants or third-party auditors. Service Providers can perform the same content creation, edit, and delete functions as Administrators but are restricted from managing organizational details, adding users, or adjusting the plan. This role is intended to grant flexibility while safeguarding organizational control.

Workspace User

The Workspace User role is for team members who will have access to restricted pages in Breeze called Workspaces. These pages give these users access to a limited set of Sources and Places for data entry, edit, and export.

User Management and Deactivation

In Breeze, user accounts cannot be deleted by Administrators to ensure the preservation of audit trails. Instead, users can be deactivated when they no longer need access. If you need to fully delete a user, please reach out to Breeze support for assistance.
