Quick Links

There are a number of great ways to add data to Breeze, but one of the easiest to use is Quick Links.

These are single-use forms that can be created in a few clicks and sent to anyone, whether a member of your Breeze team or not, to quickly add data based on the parameters you set.

All data submitted through Quick Links must be approved before it is processed and added to your footprint. This allows you to maintain control and data quality.

All Quick Links have the same fields, designed to keep track of all relevant information.

Here is a brief description of each one:

Field Name Description Example
Title* An internal title for this form. This can be used to identify the form for you and your team, and will not be shown to the user entering the data. “Head Office Energy - January 2023”
Place If this data all pertains to a specific Place, use this field. All data will be assigned to the selected Place. If this is left blank, the data will not be assigned to a Place “Head Office”
Time Period If this data is for a specific time period (for example, a month or a year), enter the dates here. If this is left blank, the user will be asked to enter the dates for each data point. “2023-01-01” to “2023-01-31”
Sources Select the Sources to be collected in this form. For more information on Sources, click here. “Electricity”, “Natural Gas”
Allow Attachments If you would like to allow the user to upload attachments for each data point, toggle this on. Yes
Allow Data Notes If you would like to allow the user to add notes for each data point, toggle this on. Yes
Stealth Mode If you would like to show your Organization name and logo at the top of the form, toggle this off. If toggled on, there will be no visual identification on the form that this is for your Organization. No
Show Guidance When checked, the user will be shown the “Guidance” from the selected Sources. Yes
Form Title* This is the title that will be shown to the user on the form. “Head Office Energy - January 2023”
Form Body this is the text that will be shown to the user on the form, below the title.

“Please add electricity and natural gas data for our head office for the period of January, 2023.

Please upload the invoices as well.

Send me a message when it’s complete!”

Once the data contributor has added all information they need, they will click “Submit”.

This will create an update on your Dashboard, and will allow any administrator to review, edit, and approve the submission.

Click “Review” next to the form you would like to review to open it. You can make any necessary changes from there. Once you are satisfied that the data is ready to be processed, you can click “Approve”.

This will send all data points to Breeze to have emissions calculated. You will see them in your account shortly. Learn more about processing here.

You can quickly and easily collect data for specific sites, offices, subsidiaries, or any other Place by clicking “NEW LINK FROM PLACE” on the Quick Links page.

All you have to do is select the Place you need data for then click “CREATE QUICK LINK” to generate a new Quick Link with all Sources that have data at that Place. Add any other information you need and click “SAVE” to send the link!

If you want to reuse a quick link that was previously approved, you can find it in the “Archive” section and click “Clone”. Cloning creates a new Quick Link with the exact same settings as the previous one.

This can be useful when:

  • You want to collect data every month for the same site
  • You want to collect the same sources from multiple sites
  • You want to collect data from suppliers and third parties
